About this Course

This recertification course is for candidates who have completed National Lifeguard (NL) Pool Option full course and need to recertify their award to ensure it is current. The course is broken down into two halves, the Precertification and the Recertification. The objective of the Precertification clinic is to provide NL candidates an opportunity to review NL skills and knowledge and to provide education on new information before the start of the Recertification clinic. Although not a requirement, the BC & Yukon Branch NL Committee highly recommends that candidates attend an NL Precertification to promote professional development and success. Prerequisites: Previous NL pool option, recommend CPR C issued within the 1 year. Candidate must show previous NL Pool Option award to instructor. Extra candidate fee will be added to course fee and is non-refundable.
